Do you understand what does it mean. It means that your lecturer used to be a teenager and used to be a student although in different time or phase but still none of your lecturer are born as a lecturer straight away without having to experience teenage life and campus life.
Many student feels uncomfortable when we think that they are sort of like to being pampered most of the time. Pampered in Malay is 'dimanjakan'. Why do I have address on this matter? Simply because some student, I mean some, not all who thinks that their lecturer are someone that have no idea of how the teenage life and campus life.
Perhaps because you have been so pampered since you were born that you eventually have no sense of showing some appreciation of what your lecturer have done. Well I have to ask you to stop that ignorance, do stop it before you eventually realize that you have done a very big mistake in your life.
As for me, I am training my student to become a normal human being, not some sort of advance photocopy machine. Do you know what is an advance photocopy machine? It was like memorizing and memorizing till you brain is full and vomit it out during the exam but then after the exam, you will forget what you have memorize.
That kind of situation is normal in examination oriented system where students only learn to pass the examination but the knowledge will gradually lost after the examination have ended. That is the reason why I asked my students to do something not only for them to memorize but as a training for them after they have graduated and already have a job.
My advice for all my students, you may hate me now, but you will thank me later. Thank you.
